“[I was] completely shocked, completely caught off guard [and] did not see it coming…But, unlike most of the bad dating moments in my life, I’ve been able to relive this one as many times as I’ve wanted to with you guys in real time.” — Stew from Love Is Blind: Boston

Scott “Stew” Stewart, 34, said those words in an Instagram video on October 18, reflecting on the engagement that ended moments after he met his fiancée on Love Is Blind season 11. His full sign-off: “Stay tuned [because there’s] more to come.”
Jacqueline “Jax” Guelli, 31, accepted his proposal in the pods, where they couldn’t see each other, then decided to leave after their face-to-face reveal. Before meeting Stew, Jax had told the cameras she was nervous about their physical connection. Afterward, the skincare founder described him as “very New England” and said he wasn’t who she’d pictured as her fiancé.
Stew learned from a producer that Jax wanted to go home immediately rather than travel to Mexico with him. The producer said she’d declined an offer to speak with him and had asked production not to arrange a conversation between them.
The season was filmed in 2025 and began streaming on Netflix this month. In that same video, Stew looked back at watching the proposal play out, including his decision to work football into the moment: “Maybe a proposal isn’t the best time to bring up how I think the [New England Patriots] are gonna do this year.”
He thanked viewers for their comments and messages and for laughing along with his dating missteps. Despite how the engagement ended, he’d described the experiment as a positive experience and said he had no regrets about participating.
Stew and Jax are set to meet again in an upcoming episode to discuss their short-lived engagement. The first 5 episodes are streaming on Netflix, with new episodes released on Wednesdays. The line lands because it reframes a brutal rejection as something he gets to sit with on his own terms, watching it back alongside the people who are watching it with him.
