Hardy was at New York Comic Con in October 2024, talking through how he plays two characters who are in conversation with each other, when he described himself as being “on spectrum.” The aside came during a discussion of his acting technique for Venom: The Last Dance.
Playing Eddie Brock and voicing Venom meant working with an earpiece that fed him Venom’s prerecorded dialogue. Director Kelly Marcel and Patrick Anderson could also speak to him through it.
