Jodie Sweetin says she was a kid leaving a Janet Jackson concert with Bob Saget when a drive-by shattered the car window next to her. The late “Full House” star got her home afterward, she told a 90s Con panel in Hartford, Connecticut, on Sunday, Oct. 18.
The story spread after the panel, the most complete “Full House” cast reunion since 2024. Sweetin, 44, Andrea Barber and Scott Weinger sat with Candace Cameron Bure, Lori Loughlin, John Stamos and Dave Coulier nearly four decades after the sitcom premiered. The three touched down in LA afterward.

“We were sitting in the car and like the window exploded,” she said. She later clarified: “It was a drive-by. It was back in the late ’80s, early ’90s. I leaned over to tie my shoes and it’s just like ‘pop pop pop’ and the whole thing shattered.“
Saget got her home afterward. “Then we had to wait for two station wagon taxis because this is pre-Uber, to come and get us and we were late. And then Bob had to drive me home and explain to my mom what happened. So between that and the Laugh Factory, Bob was not always my mom’s favorite,” she said.

Stamos asked how the story never reached the press. Sweetin said she still wonders about it herself: “To this day I told that story and I wonder if it actually, it’s one of those like, ‘Did that actually happen?’ I was there and I doubt that it happened, but it actually did, so.”
Saget, who died in January 2022, kept coming up. The cast brought a life-sized photo of him so fans could take a full group shot.
“Bob’s just glad we’re all still talking about him,” Sweetin said. “Bob just loves to know that he’s still the main topic of conversation.”
Days before Hartford, Sweetin gave an update on Coulier, 66, who was treated for 2 cancers. She and Barber had recently stayed at his home.
“He’s doing great,” she said. “Sitting around and having coffee with him in the morning meant so much.”
