Charlize Theron has a specific objection to men’s dating profiles: the closet mirror selfie, complete with a hand tucked into a jeans pocket. Speaking with Alex Cooper on Call Her Daddy, she said seeing a man admire himself that way “makes my vagina close.”
The interview aired July 2, 2025. A 79-second excerpt was posted on November 1, 2026, bringing an older conversation back into circulation.

Theron called dating apps “a fucking clown show” and ran through the profile choices she wanted men to retire: Burning Man pictures, photos with other women and those carefully posed selfies. She also questioned men who describe themselves as CEOs but can’t explain what their companies actually do.
That complaint had come up days earlier. On Watch What Happens Live on June 26, 2025, she told Andy Cohen that a friend had signed her up for Raya and she’d gone on 2 dates.

She described men billing themselves as “a CEO, like, of nothing.” Cohen, who said he also used Raya, added his own description: “a creative director of nothing.”
With Cooper, Theron also described her friend Amanda encouraging her to meet someone in Paris. She said she’d passed on many of Amanda’s introductions, but a recent one had “paid off tremendously.”
Her advice to men came down to dropping the pretense. “I get wet when you just tell me who you are,” Theron said. “Don’t be pretentious.”
