Ashton Kutcher was 25 when he joked on his own MTV show in 2003 that everyone was waiting for Hilary Duff to turn 18. She was 15. The Olsen twins, also named in the remark, were 17.

“Hilary Duff. I huff and I puff and I blow the Duff down. Hilary Duff is in Lizzie McGuire, she also has an album out, she’s going to be in a movie called Cheaper by the Dozen, and she’s one of the girls that we’re all waiting for to turn 18 along with the Olsen twins.”

The footage sat in archives for twenty years.

Then co-star Danny Masterson was convicted of rape, and Kutcher wrote a character letter supporting him. Once that letter became public, Kutcher stepped down as board chair of Thorn, the anti-child-trafficking nonprofit he co-founded with Demi Moore.

The old clip resurfaced and went viral in early 2026, following new Epstein document releases. Those documents showed Ghislaine Maxwell emailing Eli Holzman, who later became president of Kutcher’s production company Katalyst Films, the company that created and produced Punk’d. The emails reference arranging Hollywood set visits and acting opportunities for young girls.

Kutcher does not appear in the correspondence and has not publicly addressed the connection.
