Ellen DeGeneres is weighing TV work in Britain, where she says she misses the laughter she shared with writers and audiences during her years on television.
“I’ve nothing really going on and I really miss being on TV,” the 68-year-old says on the Oct. 16 episode of The Graham Norton Show. “I think about doing stuff here.”

Her daytime talk show ended in 2022 after 19 seasons. Its final years followed allegations of a toxic workplace that surfaced in 2020.
DeGeneres now lives in Britain with her wife, Portia de Rossi. She previously told broadcaster Richard Bacon that Donald Trump’s re-election cemented their decision to stay: “We got here the day before the election and woke up to lots of texts from our friends with crying emojis, and I was like, ‘He got in’. And we’re like, ‘We’re staying here.’”
On Norton’s show, she joked about the range of British television programmes: “You have a pottery show, you have a sewing show, and you even have a show about people watching TV shows!”
