Jodie Sweetin says Dave Coulier is doing “really well” after his treatment for 2 cancers. She recently spent a weekend at his home with their former co-star Andrea Barber, sharing ordinary time together.
For Sweetin, the quiet moments with Coulier mattered: “Sitting around and having coffee with him in the morning meant so much.”
The Full House and Fuller House castmates also took part in The Coney, a fundraiser supporting arts programmes in Detroit. Sweetin described the cast’s bond this way: “We’re still super close.”

Coulier, 66, was diagnosed with stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma in 2024. Months after receiving the all-clear, he was diagnosed with HPV-related oropharyngeal tongue cancer. In February, he announced that both cancers were in remission.
He’s also spoken about the lasting effects of treatment. In an Instagram video addressing changes in his appearance and voice, Coulier explained that extensive radiation to his throat had affected his speech. He said he hadn’t been able to eat solid food in months and had lost 45 pounds.
Coulier said his hair was growing back after chemotherapy and that PET scans brought encouraging news about both cancers: “The prognosis looks good for both the carcinoma in my throat and the lymphoma. So we’re very pleased with all of that.”
When he announced his remission on Good Morning America, he also stressed the importance of catching cancer early: “Even though I’m in remission, I feel like cancer is always in the rear-view mirror … so early detection really means everything.”
