U2 has announced a 2027 stadium tour, telling the story simply: “Because if people are gonna show up, we certainly are.” It will open in Mexico City on February 23, with 6 concerts announced across Mexico, Brazil and Argentina.
The band plans to add Europe, North America and Ireland, though those dates and venues haven’t been confirmed.
The tour’s full name is Carnaval de Luz Presents: The Greatest Show on Earth World Tour. Explaining the ambition behind it, the band said: “It’s a dare, to ourselves as much as anyone, to try and have the best night of anybody’s life.”
The announced schedule is:

February 23 and 26: Estadio GNP Seguros, Mexico City, Mexico.
March 10 and 12: Estádio MorumBIS, São Paulo, Brazil.
March 23 and 25: Estadio River Plate, Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The concerts will support Carnaval De Luz, U2’s 16th studio album, due November 13, 2026. Its 12 tracks include “The Mirror Maker,” featuring Rosalía, and “Torn,” featuring Dolly Parton. The tour takes its name from “The Greatest Show on Earth,” the album’s 3rd single after “Street of Dreams” and “Silencio.”
It’ll be the band’s first album of entirely new studio material since 2017’s Songs of Experience. Their recent releases have included the 2023 catalogue reinterpretations Songs of Surrender, the 2024 archival collection How to Re-Assemble an Atomic Bomb, and 2026’s Days of Ash and Easter Lily EPs.
U2’s lineup is Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen Jr. Their Las Vegas Sphere residency ran from September 2023 through March 2024, with Bram van den Berg filling in on drums while Mullen recovered from surgery.
