Cara Delevingne arrived at a lesbian sex party wearing a mask and found herself in a brightly lit gymnasium. Recalling it as among her worst dates, the 34-year-old model and actress said she made a quick exit.
“I went to a lesbian sex party once. That was bad. I left quickly; nothing happened,” she said during Cosmopolitan’s Blind Date interview series.
Her description included a detail she left unexplained: “I went in a mask and, like, we were all attached to each other.” Then there was the footwear: “Everyone was wearing, like, kitten heels. I don’t know how to describe it. It wasn’t good.”
The conversation also covered how sobriety has changed her relationships. Delevingne, who’s spoken publicly about her struggles with alcohol and drugs, said: “There’s nothing to hide behind. They see everything and kind of before we met again and gotten together, I had sworn off love forever.”
She’s in a relationship with British musician Leah Mason, who performs as Minke. Recalling how she felt when they got together, Delevingne said: “But my body felt very safe with her, and I can’t really describe why.”
