Craig Conover says the distance between his life now and his past relationships has changed how he sees his exes. At 37, the Southern Charm star still wants marriage and kids, but he’s stopped holding himself to a deadline.
“People I’ve dated in the past, I don’t even think we’d be friends today” — Craig Conover
Speaking on October 19, Craig explained why he thinks some of those relationships would never begin today: “But just because our lives are so different, like, we would probably get along, but we would have never ended up dating.” He didn’t name a particular ex when making the remark.

Craig and Paige DeSorbo went public in September 2021 and dated for 3 years before she ended their relationship after Thanksgiving in 2024. He previously dated costar Naomie Olindo for 2 years before their 2017 split. They hooked up again in summer 2021, when he was casually seeing Paige.
Craig later dated Natalie Buffett, a relationship confirmed in March 2025. By June, he’d confirmed he was single again. A flirtation with castmate Charley Manley during Southern Charm’s season 11 also ended before the season wrapped.
He’s now finding something to appreciate about meeting a partner later in life. “It’s kind of neat to think about instead of having to outgrow a relationship, you can, I don’t know, there’s some benefits in meeting people later on,” Craig said.
He acknowledged that being single as he approaches 38 can still scare him, especially when his life looks different from what he imagined. His plans also include a trip to Antarctica, and he’s been filming scripted projects.
“Yeah, I’m [almost] 38 and I’m single. I mean, and it freaks you out. But I’m like, but that’s really just a construct. It’s really not real. Like we’re gonna be fine,” he said.
