Hannah Einbinder, 31, rallied behind Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts on Instagram after the team announced he’d been diagnosed with blood clots in his lungs. The Hacks star and Philadelphia superfan made her defense personal: “if you have a problem with jalen you have a problem with ME.”

Hannah Einbinder said, “Shut your ass up if you have something bad to say about him”.

Her October 19 post shared NFL insider Tom Pelissero’s account of Hurts, 28, playing against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London on October 11 after an earlier diagnosis of a superficial clot in his calf. Pelissero initially said Hurts hadn’t slept, then clarified that he “was able to sleep upon rejoining the team and the Eagles set aside a room for him at the stadium.”

Einbinder also explained why her support goes beyond football. She credited Hurts with donating air-conditioning units to Philadelphia’s public schools, having an all-female management team and declining a White House visit after the Eagles’ championship win.

“Jalen we love you so much not only because you’re so talented but because of who you are,” she wrote in a separate Story.

The Eagles announced October 19 that Hurts had deep vein thrombosis and bilateral pulmonary emboli, with clots traveling from his legs to his lungs. He’s expected to miss at least 3 months while taking blood thinners, potentially sidelining him for the rest of the season.

“Jalen’s prognosis is very good, and we expect a full recovery,” the team said. The Eagles expect him to keep conditioning and stay involved with the team during treatment, with a return to contact football anticipated once he’s off blood thinners. The team also said it expects no long-term effects.
