Kristin Davis has an idea for a Sex and the City farewell: send Charlotte, Carrie, Samantha and Miranda to Italy together.

On the Oct. 15 episode of her Are You a Charlotte? podcast, Davis, 61, imagined another movie with Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall and Cynthia Nixon. She was talking with Evan Handler, 65, who plays Charlotte’s husband, Harry Goldenblatt.

“Like I have trouble believing that we’re not gonna do one more thing because that’s just always how I feel, you know?” Davis said.

Her idea for a group trip drew on the friendship movies starring Mary Steenburgen, Candice Bergen and Jane Fonda. “We could go on, like a trip to Italy. Wouldn’t that be great?” she said.

Their conversation also explored a possible change for Charlotte and Harry: having to rethink the expensive life they’ve grown used to.

Handler said he and his wife, Elisa Atti, had met with a financial advisor several years earlier after leaving their earnings uninvested. Learning when their money would run out gave him an idea for the fictional couple. If Harry worked less, could they still afford their lifestyle?

Davis said the possibility of someone in the friend group facing different financial circumstances had been discussed before. After years of aspirational homes and lifestyles, she thought that shift could be interesting to explore.

These were ideas Davis and Handler were imagining, with Davis acknowledging that she didn’t know what would happen. The franchise’s sequel series, And Just Like That…, ended its 3-season run in August 2025.
