Law Roach did the thing most people never do when they get let go: he agreed with the call.

On Aspire with Emma Grede, the stylist opened up about the end of his run with Keke Palmer, who phoned him to end the working relationship herself. Roach says Palmer told him on that call, “You may be the best in the world, but you are not the best stylist for me.” His answer: “Well, all right, Keke Palmer.” No argument.

“I couldn’t get it right,” he said. “I couldn’t get the looks right. I couldn’t get the energy right.” He called it a business decision she should have made.

He’s told versions of this before. At an October 2024 panel the week his book came out, he said he’d pushed to show her pregnancy and she wasn’t ready to “give it to the world yet,” and that “she was right.”

On Tamron Hall he put it bluntly: “She fired me.” On Palmer’s own 2025 podcast he said there was “no ego” in it, that he’d been adding stress while she was juggling work and a pregnancy she was still keeping quiet.

Roach, who has styled Zendaya since 2011 and calls himself an image architect, frames the whole thing the same way every time. The firing was business, and he respected it.
