Love Is Blind’s Jax Guelli says letting producers end her engagement to Scott “Stew” Stewart without speaking to him herself was “completely selfish.”
“It was completely selfish. I just wanted to get out of there, and I thought I needed a minute to think and then create a better response for him. I just couldn’t at the time,” Jax said.

She says she was close to having a panic attack when she ended the engagement. Producers delivered the news after their face-to-face reveal, a moment the 31-year-old skincare brand founder says left her overwhelmed.
Jax had accepted Stew’s proposal after they connected in the pods on season 11, which follows Boston singles and premiered October 14. Once they met, she began doubting whether the connection felt right. She says she found nothing wrong with his appearance, but her nerves intensified as she went through the reveal and engagement.

Looking back, Jax called her handling of the breakup “completely immature.” She says she’s since worked on how she responds in overwhelming moments and contacted Stew immediately afterward to explain what had happened.
Stew, 34, confirmed that she reached out right away. He said he understood her reaction as being about the situation rather than about him. Their later meeting, which viewers will see in the next batch of episodes, was “intense,” he said, but they’ve remained close.
“I would go so far as to say we’ve completely reconciled since then,” Stew said. He described them as “good friends,” while both left open the possibility of rekindling their relationship.
Stew also suggested Jax still has her engagement ring: “Word on the street is, if you catch her walking around Boston, she still has the ring.”
