Rory Culkin says saying goodbye to his baby daughter can leave him choked up on the train. Since becoming a dad, even time feels different.

“Having a child introduces you to time, and now everything just feels a little heavier,” he said. “There’s just more gravity now, you know?”

Havoc Moon, the daughter of the 36-year-old actor and his girlfriend, cinematographer Kate Arizmendi, was born on May 24. Describing fatherhood as “lovely,” Rory said the difficult parts have come with far more love than he expected.

“Really such a pleasure. Everyone was telling me how difficult it is, and it is, but that’s outweighed so much by the love.”

Kate shared her own glimpse of Rory as a father when she announced Havoc’s arrival on Instagram Stories. Alongside a picture of him holding their daughter, she wrote: “Best papa.”
