Adrianne Curry says Victoria’s Secret gave Kylie Jenner an honor that should’ve gone to an established Angel when the 29-year-old made her runway debut in the $50 million Fantasy Bra at the brand’s October 18 show in Los Angeles.

“That is for the top Victoria’s Secret angel. That is like winning homecoming queen,” Curry said during an October 19 YouTube livestream. “And they just give it to Jenner.” The America’s Next Top Model cycle 1 winner also told Jenner, “You’re not a f***ing model,” and called Victoria’s Secret “a joke.”

Former Angel Romee Strijd said she spent weeks waiting on a “maybe” list before being told she “wouldn’t fit in the show this year.” Frida Aasen replied that she’d attended the casting too, “and it was a no.” Neither account establishes that Jenner took a spot intended for them.

Jenner became the first non-Angel to wear a Fantasy Bra, following names including Gisele BĂĽndchen, Heidi Klum and Adriana Lima. The tradition began with Claudia Schiffer’s $1 million catalog piece in 1996, and Elsa Hosk wore the last runway version, valued at $1 million, in 2018.

Jacob & Co. made Jenner’s version with 4,410 natural diamonds, including a 75.54-carat yellow diamond. Its $50 million valuation puts it about $35 million above the previous record.

Victoria’s Secret chief creative officer Adam Selman described Jenner as a “cultural powerhouse” and said the brand wanted an “unexpected talent” with a “massive following and massive cultural impact.” The show also featured Megan Thee Stallion, Tate McRae and Katseye, while newcomers included Natalia Bryant, Trinity Rodman and YouTube-contest winner Solange Omon.

Curry later said she doesn’t “think Kylie Jenner is ugly,” but thinks “she’s two feet tall and doesn’t look like a model.” On October 21, she said the media “misconstrued” her remarks and “clipped out most the conversation.”
