Pitbull says Jon Bon Jovi keeps asking him the same thing every time they meet: “When are we going to do another one?”
The question goes back to “Now Or Never,” the collaboration that brought Bon Jovi back to Billboard’s Pop Airplay chart for the first time in almost 2 decades. Jon Bon Jovi wants a follow-up.
Released in November 2024, the track reworked Bon Jovi’s “It’s My Life.” The band hadn’t appeared on that chart since “Who Says You Can’t Go Home.”
Speaking at a live Superstar Q+A: The Story Behind the Charts panel with Leila Cobo, Pitbull described what the collaboration meant to him: “When someone gives you that kind of trust, it becomes a responsibility.”
He added: “Now, whenever I see Bon Jovi, he asks me, ‘When are we going to do another one?’”
Pitbull’s also bringing another rock collaboration to his album PITCOIN. He teamed up with KISS for “Reach For The Stars,” a reworking of “Rock and Roll All Nite,” which he’d previously used to introduce a show.
“It’s an honour for the iconic group KISS to bless us and agree to remake one of the greatest songs of all time,” he said.
