Tyler Cameron learned he’s having a daughter after his Dancing with the Stars routine last night.

Tyler Cameron and his fiancée, Tate Madden, are expecting their first child. The couple shared their pregnancy news on Dancing with the Stars, where Cameron dedicated his performance to mothers, including his late mom, Andrea.
Cameron and Madden, both 33, learned she was pregnant the night they returned from getting engaged. Madden took a pregnancy test, saw the positive result and told him, “You’re not going to believe this.” They announced their engagement on Aug. 15 after Cameron proposed on Florida’s Little Palm Island.
The pregnancy stayed within a small circle of family and friends while they hoped Cameron would reach Dedication Night. He and his professional partner, Sharna Burgess, performed a contemporary dance to Ed Sheeran’s “Supermarket Flowers.” Afterward, Cameron and Madden learned they were having a daughter.
Andrea died in March 2020. As Cameron prepared to honor mothers through his dance, he explained how he sees her in the woman he’s marrying: “I lost my mom, and my mom would have loved Tate. All the best things in my mom, I found in Tate.”
The couple moved to Los Angeles for Cameron’s run on season 35, and rehearsals meant he missed Madden’s ultrasound. She later brought the ultrasound picture to him in New York City. Cameron said seeing it made the pregnancy feel real.
“Our parents gave us a great life, and I want us to give this little baby an even greater life,” he said. Madden said she’s eager to see him with their child: “He connects with kids who aren’t even his. Imagine what their relationship would be.”
They met in 2022 while Madden was working as a photographer on his renovation show, Going Home with Tyler Cameron. Cameron publicly shared their relationship in September 2024 with an Instagram video of them dancing.
Wedding planning can wait. They’ve chosen a long engagement while they focus on the pregnancy and prepare their home. “We’ve got to build a nursery,” Cameron said.
